The Back Story of the Story:

In June of 2002, Tait wrote, directed, produced, and starred in his one man show titled: How to Kill a Piano. This dark and twisted comedy combined Tait’s skilled piano playing with his long love of magic, side show stunts, and theater. The production followed the fictitious life of Tait’s love/hate relationship with the instrument and explored the darker side of the piano’s growth from a seed of evil. Imagine Wile E. Coyote vs. the Road Runner, but replace the coyote with Tait’s quick wit, and snappy dialog, and replace the road runner with a baby grand piano. Only then will you have a chase that takes so many twists and turns that it will make your head spin. How to Kill a Piano was a multimedia production involving live action, pyrotechnic special effects, music and projected media. Now some seven years later, Tait returns to How to Kill a Piano and takes another look at fragments of the story that had yet to be imagined. It’s a darker, more in-depth, look while Tait brings artist Jesse Rubenfeld (Into the Dust) along to create a completely new and unique experience within the medium of the written word.
