I rounded the first group of shelves that spiraled towards the center, uncoiling the cord as I took each careful and quiet step. The music crept from the center along floor and danced around my toes guiding each step of my rubber footed pajamas. It seemed to become less and less identifiable the closer I came to it. Naturals becoming accidentals and perfect scales became blocks of keys smashed together. I could hear finger nails scraping over the open strings and the sound of a man sobbing.
